No other portable sleeping surface can compare. Since I love sleeping on my Tempur-Pedic mattress I am not fond of sleeping on the ground, but with this sleeping pad I look forward to camping and sleeping comfortably. Also, because I have wide spread chronic pain due to Fibromyalgia and a bad back it is critical to have a warm and comfortable sleeping surface and this pad does an outstanding job. You cannot feel the ground, rocks, pine cones, roots, etc. It is easy to inflate/deflate, let it inflate on it’s own and then you can blow it up a bit more if you want. It is a tad bit bulky and heavy though, but for car camping that isn’t a big deal. I love the non-slip surface my slippery sleeping bag stays put all night. I’ve had my pad for two year now and am buying my fiance one for Christmas this year as he got the hand me down Luxury Therm-A-Rest pad that doesn’t even compare to this one.br /br /I highly recommend this sleeping pad to anyone that wants to be comfortable as they can be sleeping on the ground. Also, to anyone with bad back, sciatica, hips, neck, chronic pain, Fibromyalgia or other similar conditions, etc. Or those that get cold with other sleeping pads. br /br /For those looking for a light weight easy to carry sleeping pad this pad is not for you. Also, note I bought this at Sportsman’s Warehouse and not from this seller, therefore I’m only rating the product itself./p
