I actually ordered two Coleman Colossal sleeping bags for my husband and I, and these Harbor bags for the kids. Well, it ended up they were the same price, and with the same temperature rating, I didn’t see any difference between them other than 20 dollars and the color of the fabric! So if you are considering the Colossal ones because you think they have more room, they don’t!!br /br /As far as the qualities of this sleeping bag, they are REALLY, REALLY cozy. Because they are not synthetic, they are heavier, but to me it is so worth it, I’ve slept in warm synthetic ones and been miserable because they are so uncomfortable, whereas this one I was stealing to use as a blanket on our couch, it was so cozy!! They are very roomy, and are made with excellent quality materials. The zippers are REALLY nice compared to other sleeping bags I’ve had, they look very sturdy with their additional rubber seal and work easily.br /br /One additional thing that I liked about these is that the protective bag is attached to the sleeping bag. No more trying to pack the sleeping bag into a too-small protective slip. I sloppily rolled them back up after using them around the house and though the bag did not cover the entire sleeping bag with my messy work, it did cover the parts that were necessary to protect the bag, and it was MUCH easier than the one’s I’ve used in the past.br /br /I really can’t think of any negatives for this bag. Only thing I can remotely think of is the weight, which isn’t important to me since we are camping somewhat near our car anyhow. br /br /For the price, temperature rating and quality, I don’t think you can find a better buy!!br /br //p

This little lantern can easily be carried around and provides more than enough light to see with. I would guess it provides about as much light as a 15 watt incandescent bulb would. The LED light is fairly harsh (conpared to an incandescent bulb) as LEDs tend to be, but that is just an observation, not a criticism. The back is shielded so you don’t get light shining in your face. It also makes sure that all the light is focused forward. The strob setting is of no use in the house, but I can see where it would be very useful if your car was stranded on the side of a road. With its relatively compact size and ease of use, this lantern is extremely versatile.br //p

In larger tents there are hanging loops or overhead storage nets that make this easy to put up, but in mine I end up hanging it from the loops on the windows, and it hangs really low.br /br /HOWEVER, I still find it nearly indispensable. I went camping the first time with it Memorial Day weekend 2009, and the bluegrass festival I was at was hit by a major storm–torrential rain and nearly hurricane-level winds. There was an inch of water in the bottom of my tent after the storm (I was lucky, my tent wasn’t destroyed like most others), but the stuff in my hanging organizer was safe and mostly dry.br /br /That lesson alone paid for it. Keep stuff off the ground!/p
